Here/There: Guide to Copenhagen Part I
42 of my favorite places (eat, bageri, see, shop) in CPH.
Last summer, after having Covid on my birthday and feeling incredibly lonely for the entire month of June, I decided on a whim to book a trip to Copenhagen to go meet up with my dear friend Shanny. I booked my flight on the 28th of June and left on the 30th. Best decision ever. I spent the first 5/6 days bopping around CPH with one of my besties, who’s been to the city several times (and who now lives there after being inspired by last year’s trip to make the big move from Portland), and the last week there by myself. It was my first solo-ish trip to a brand new city in a while. It was nice to spend QT with Shanny during the first part of the trip while I got my bearings and adjusted to the time difference and then to have a week to explore on my own and go at my own pace.
Copenhagen stole my heart in every way possible. It is such a fantastic city. Such a livable city. I spent the 2 weeks I was there planning my future life. When I got back to Mexico, I was literally trying to convince my boyfriend that we needed to find a way to get visas and spend half our time over there.
