I’m so excited to introduce you to my dear friend, Kelsey Hayden. Kelsey is a Portland-based meditation teacher and owner of newly opened well-being-for-all studio, Woo-Woo. I asked her to guide us through a 20-minute meditation for the new moon and the upcoming summer solstice. This is a potent time for going inward, observing your inner space and setting intentions for yourself as we move into a new cycle.
The last new moon of spring occurs on Saturday, June 17 at 9:37 p.m. PST and Sunday, June 18 at 12:37 a.m. EST in the air sign Gemini. A few days later, summer begins, making this lunation important for setting intentions, as we close one cycle and begin a another. The new moon asks you to honor your process of transformation by staying grounded in your body and open to new information, sensations and insights. The intention with this practice is for Kelsey to guide you into refocusing and regrounding into the present moment, as we move into the new energies of this moon cycle and summer season.
Also included in below are a list of journal prompts for you to work on. We recommend completing the journal prompts and then following up with Kelsey’s meditation.
