The kitchen is my domain. Some of my best work has come out of that space. It’s a place that makes me happy and allows me to be creative. I love getting lost in ingredients and preparations. It always calms my mind and opens my heart. I’m fascinated with the combinations of flavors that can be created. I always marvel at the beauty of fruits and vegetables, mesmerized by their shapes, colors and textures.

When I moved from Portland to Mexico City in 2020, I drove my car down filled with all the belongings that I didn’t sell in my gigantic yard sale. For reference, I got rid of about 90% of my total belongings, but kept my most precious and treasured collections. Most of those things belonging to the kitchen.
