I live for dips. Truly can’t have enough. I’m always creating new dips to serve at gatherings or to bring with me when I go over to a friend’s for a meal. The more dips the better. And I guess in honor of the latest Tik Tok craze “Girl Dinner,” which is basically just a snack plate, here’s a deliciously creamy, incredibly tasty dip recipe to add to your rotation.
We hosted our first guests in our new-ish apartment a couple weekends ago. Normally I would have invited people over right away, but we were waiting for our kitchen to be done (it’s done! a post coming on that soon!) to do our first formal hosting. I decided to write out a whole menu for the occasion instead of winging it like I sometimes do, and it was a big success. Made my life way easier planning everything out and making a grocery list. I shopped for everything the morning of at the farmer’s market and spent a few hours in my kitchen prepping everything before people arrived. I don’t know about you, but I’m awful at cooking once guests arrive, so I tried to create a menu that allowed me to do most of the heavy lifting before anyone came over.
Here’s the menu I served:
Whipped Blue Feta with Figs and Pistachios (this recipe coming next week!! because, like I said, never enough dips.)
Labneh with Marinated Olives + Artichokes
Giant Green Salad with Watermelon Radish, Pepitas and Tahini Dressing
Smashed Potato Salad with Salsa Verde
Oven-Baked Salmon with Dill
Fresh Cherries + Assortment of Chocolate
I managed to get 2 photos of the occasion:
