Oh my... what does one say in english? Gute Besserung it is in German. Bless you! Envision me Daumen drücken (pressing thumbs? doing something with my thumbs that supposedly brings happiness to you) like I never need them again.
so so relieved you’re okay, and also happy you finally received (what seem to be) answers on all that was conspiring in the past few months. being in my early 30s & being asked constantly if i’m going to freeze my eggs, this has definitely given me new context to consider in the process. thank you for your candor & for looking out for other women. we love you!
I'm so sorry your IVF/egg freezing journey was not a smooth one. My sister does epigenetics research concerning egg freezing/IVF (asssisted reproductive technologies) and just know you are not alone in experiencing those after effects (and that your doctors didn't completely understanding the side effects). I'm happy you found good care in CDMX and I hope your recovery journey goes smoothly! Can't wait for all the recipes to come :)
Thank you! It felt so lonely and I'd never heard of any of the bad experiences, so I think that made it feel more isolating and scary. But yes, now I'm hearing of all sorts of side effects and many stories of gallbladder removal post IVF...
Oh Ali - Thank you so much for sharing your story. While it sounds like your experience has sucked big time, I am so hopeful that it finally gives you the answers you need to move on and turn the corner towards what's next.
Dealing with digestive/GI issues is so unbelievably draining in all aspects of your life. It’s wild how your GI system being out of whack will affect so many other things in your body. I’ve been searching for answers for myself on and off for a decade, and the not knowing almost as bad as the symptoms. Glad you’re on the road to recovery and were able to have surgery before your gallbladder got worse!!
Ugh, yes, the not knowing is so freaking hard. I'm so sorry you've been dealing with that for so long. I know how nerve wracking it is and how much brain space it takes up. Sending you a huge hug!
Hi there, I’ve been making your recipes for a long time and am really sorry to hear you’ve had these health issues. I had a near-identical gallbladder experience as have others in my family (sludge and infected but no gallstones). Mine was removed 3 years ago after I also almost passed out from late night pain/digestive issues. I also have had periodic sibo and perioral dermatitis. It seems like there is some connection between all these things ( maybe an overactive sympathetic nervous system?) I have found through trial and error that I feel better when taking ox bile and using coconut oil as a fat source since it seems to not require bile to digest. I know this post was made a while ago, so hope you are doing much better now!
